We hope that your 2010 has started off well. It is hard to believe that this year marks the beginning of a new decade. It is amazing how quickly time flies. This month we thought we would share a little more about the impact that The Coaching Center is having here in the United States and around the world. The resource web site that Dave oversees, www.gocampus.org, is now helping almost 40,000 unique users per month as of December 2009. It is exciting to see so many people use the Web site to resource their local ministries. Some of the resources downloaded and/or viewed last month included Christmas outreach ideas, a pre-planned Christmas party outreach, how to follow up new Christians, examples of Christmas talks, and how to prepare a Bible study lesson. Each month gocampus.org provides thousands of resources to the body of Christ. In 2009 the Coaching Center team helped almost 600 people in the USA. They have also sent resources to thirteen different countries around the world. These graphes shows some of the people that the team and Web site are helping, as well as their locations.
Each year, thousands of college students involved with Campus Crusade’s campus ministry attend one of a number of different Christmas conferences around the nation. Student Venture staff attend these conferences in an effort to expose college students to the ministry and give them a vision to join our team as full time staff or volunteers. This year, at the Denver Christmas Conference, about 140 students came to hear how they could be involved in our ministry. To put this in perspective, last year only 20 came. These students are excited about starting Student Venture in their local communities. Pray for Dave and his team as they follow up with all these students and begin to coach them. Just this week Dave got a call from a missionary in Mexico who wants to know how to train youth pastors there to do youth ministry. This man is currently working/speaking in the private schools. However, he is finding the local youth pastors lack the training to follow up these events. He is asking for help on how to train them. Dave is pulling together some of the resources he used in South America to send to him. Thanks so much for your partnership with us in the Lord’s work. It is a privilege to have you on our team!
