Dear Friends,
Thanks so much for your prayers as I headed off to Santa Cruz, Bolivia last week. The trip consisted of 17 Americans, five from my home church in Orlando, Florida. We formed five teams and worked in five new churches in Santa Cruz.
I led a team to a mission site that was unique, because it was about 1 hour outside the city, with no water or electricity in most of the community. The new church we established meets under a big tree. The mission project was sponsored by e3partners. The model used was for each American to team up with a bilingual national, along with another national. We went door-to-door in the local neighborhood where the church was to be established. We modeled how to share the Gospel using the “EvangeCube” to the nationals as we visited the neighborhoods.
Each evening we had a rally to encourage those that had come to Christ that day and connect them with the pastor. The first several days we focused on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and last two days we did follow-up of the new believers.
As we went door-to-door nearly every family we met put their faith and hope in Jesus Christ. It was exciting to see how God had prepared the way for us to reap the harvest. I think the highlight for me was the last night's rally at our mission site when we saw 68 people come out to the new church under the tree.
In one week the entire group saw over five hundred people make decisions to follow
Jesus Christ. Many of them were followed up and several lay leaders were
trained to share their faith. Please continue to pray for these pastors as
they start sharpening their new flocks. Dave and Lynn Check out more pictures online at:
